An exhuberant fusion of live music, comedy, singing and a dazzling array of percussive dance forms rooted in different cultures. Since 1979, Footworks has represented American culture internationally, including a Smithsonian Institution tour of Japan, and as guest artists with Riverdance in London. Founder and Artistic Director Eileen Carson is an NEA Choreography Fellow, as well as a master teacher and Certified Teaching Artist in the MD schools. She is an award-winning choreographer, most recently receiving the 2014 Maryland State Arts Council's Individual Artist Award for Choreography. In celebration of their 35th Anniversary Tour, Footworks will be joined by special guests fiddler Jon Glik, mandolinist Danny Knicely, vocalist Shelley Ensor, pianist Alice Dorsey, and more!
