Hammered dulcimer virtuoso Walt Michael brings Southern Appalachian, Celtic, old-time music to life. His original compositions have been featured at the 13th Olympic Winter Gamers and in works by the Pilobulus Dance Theater and the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater. He has performed at the White House, Kennedy and Lincoln Centers, as well on across the U.S., Canada, Europe and the U.K. Founder and Executive Director of Common Ground on the Hill and Artist in Residence at McDaniel College, Walt continues to influence rising roots musicians in the traditions. This year, Walt is joined by special guests, renowned Scottish musicians fiddler Pete Clark and accordion player Gregor Lowry. Celebrated for their dance music, Clark and Lowry bring a Celtic sparkle to this concert that will certainly have the audience on their feet all night long!
